Kings Island, Kings island, Ohio

Mr. Gump "aka: Todd" has been asking me to head to his neck of the woods for a visit for a few years.  This year I made it happen.  With my handy dandy Six Flags All Park Passport in hand we took off from Todd's place in Louisville for a day of fun at Kings Island.

First off I have to say that it is SO WEIRD using my Six Flags pass at a park that has NEVER had the words "Six Flags" attached to the name in any way, shape, or form.  While Kings Island hasn't been branded either "Six Flags King's Island" or "Kings Island:  A Six Flags Park" being able to use my pass here is absolutely going to get me back here at least every other year and probably once a year as it is such an amazing park.

Dear Kings Island if you have a few more of these awesome banners that are hanging from various light posts around the park I'd love to shoehorn some of them on the walls or ceiling of my coaster room.  If this were a legacy Six Flags park these would be advertisements.  Instead Kings Island has used them not as a revenue stream but to dress the park up.  Focusing on making the guest experience better will bring more revenue rather than using the guests at your park as an asset to sell advertising revenue.  Ok, off my soapbox here.

As a pass holder that now has access to Kings Island and the rest of the Cedar Fair parks one of the perks is early access to a few of the rides around the park.  The coaster previously known as the Italian Job Stunt Track and the Back Lot Stunt Coaster has had a Cincinnati theme overlaid on the previous ride for a little local charm.

The ride itself is unchanged with the transition to the Queen City Stunt Coaster but most of the road signs and billboards that are around the ride now point to local landmarks like Union Station.

As the ride has gone all in on Cincinnati theming is why is there a helicopter gunship still included?  Is Cincinnati that violent?
