The Banshee rollerocaster at Kings Island, Kings island, Ohio

Banshee's second half is filled with a double inverting pretzel loop, a second vertical loop, and an in line twist before the train comes speeding into the brake run. Looking at my favorite inverted coasters it's a tough call which one takes the top spot Banshee or Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Which one is the best may waffle between which one I was last on but Banshee is certainly one of the best rides at Kings Island.

Speaking of best rides we had to save one of the best for last. Throughout the day we took Kings Island's classic Arrow Dynamics designed Adventure Express mine train coaster for a spin but I was a little unprepared for how good it is now at night.

For the last forty-five minutes Kings Island was open this was as long as the line for Adventure Express got.

Todd and I rode it over and over taking in five laps in a row. While I was really impressed with all of the additional theming to the area around Adventure Express and on the ride itself I didn't get to see the changes to the ride that only comes out after dark. Basically Adventure Express was seriously tricked out with a fantastic lighting package which really enhances the ride experience. Basically Kings Island took a great ride and added to it with theming and lighting to make an even better experience. To put it lightly I love what Kings Island has done to this ride. I can only hope that Six Flags sends the same creative team that transformed this ride and area over to Six Flags St. Louis to plus the River King Mine Train in the same way.

It is always sad when a day that was filled with as much fun comes to an end.

As Todd and I headed towards the gates we already set in motion for a repeat of this day next year. With being able to visit here with my Six Flags Season Pass a trip to Kings Island will certainly be a yearly visit now.

A sure sign of a fantastic day at a park is wanting another one as soon as you pass out of the gates and start to head home.
