Banshee Media Day

After the site was cleared in visitors to Kings Island started noticing
construction happening on the site as footers began popping up across the
site leading to much speculation. The footers looked like those that
B&M used but no one knew for sure. Enthusiasts started driving
by B&M's track fabricator that is only a few miles away from Kings Island
looking for track. Soon track began filling up the grounds by the
fabricator and then track and supports started showing up at Kings Island.
In early August 2013 after a few teases and misdirections Kings Island made
all of the rumors official. Kings Island was finally going to get
a B&M Inverted. Kings Island was going to get Banshee!
Good things come to those who wait and Kings Island waited 22 years to finally
add a B&M Inverted Coaster.
Banshee is no cookie cutter clone of a ride like you can find of the many
Batman The Rides. It is a one of a kind, terrain hugging, worlds longest
Inverted Coaster. If "the idea of waiting for something makes it more
exciting" Kings Island has whipped coaster enthusiasts and park guests into
a frenzy over this ride. Most Media Days for coasters have a few hundred
coaster enthusiasts in attendance but Kings Island ended up having well
over 4,000 card carrying coaster nuts lined up and ready to ride at 4:30
am on Thursday April 17, 2014.
With Banshee being one of the if not the most anticipated ride of 2014 there
was a small army of satellite and remote trucks for all of the media present.
