Banshee Media Day
Page Four
For me Banshee's Media Day was going to be an extremely long but fun
one.
My day began at 5 am the day before on Wednesday when I had to get up and
go to work. The plan was for me to work a half day, come home and
nap and then take off in order to meet up with John (Johnny.Ink from the
Negative-G Forums) and his son Draven in Champaign, IL before heading on
to Kings Island and arriving around 3 am. we would spend the day at
Kings Island then drive back home.
Bond was unable to join me for this trip as he had a prior commitment to
school and his grades. Coasters are great but if he wants to design
them school comes first.
We arrived around 3:00am at the gate with about twenty cars ahead of us.
John and Draven napped but being like a child on Christmas Eve waiting for
Santa to bring him some presents I was too wound up to close my eyes other
than to blink. I sat there and enjoyed the colored lights lighting
up Kings Island's Eifel Tower.
At 4:30 Kings Island opened up the parking lot and as I looked behind us
the line of cars tailed off as far as I could see. We grabbed a spot
for the car and quickly headed to check in. By the time we got checked
in the line to just check in was almost all the way back to Kings Island's
sign. It was good to be there early.
As you can see by the gear that Kevin (AKA: Orange Whip) is wearing
we had quite a cold morning for our first rides on Banshee.
