We did make sure to grab a few more rides on Delirium when we were
able to.
The final coaster that Bond had to conquer at Kings island was Invertigo.
He's a huge fan of Boomerangs and as this is just an inverted boomerang
I had no doubt that he'd love it.
I sat across from Bond and we kicked back and forth at each other as we
headed up the lift which he thought was pretty funny then of course he yelled
his lungs out as we zoomed through the boomerang, the loop and of course
back through it all in the other direction.
Last year this ride was Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle but like the rest
of the Nickelodeon Universe section of the park Kings Island had to re-theme
rides that were based on shows and characters that they didn't have the
rights to. So as a result you now have Boo Blasters on Boo Hill.
It's your standard shoot-em-up dark ride with some really good effects.
Now when you get in line you'll be accosted by three or four ride operators
selling 3-D glasses for this ride. Ignore them and don't waste your
cash. The ride is just fine without them and there's a really awesome
animated skull that's projected onto a veil of mist while you're going through
the ride that really impressed us.
I do have to hone up my shooting skills as Bond is starting to get better
at these rides. He hasn't beat me yet but give it a few years and
he'll start giving me a run for my money.
We had a great day at Kings Island just looping the park and riding whatever
caught our fancy. The park was dead so thankfully we got as many rides
as we wanted. As always we had a great time with our friends and as
the closing hour approached we headed back to where our day began, Diamondback
for as many rides as we could get before hitting the road.
A day at Kings Island was a great way to start our Holiwood Nights weekend
and I think we're going to have to head back here next year, at the least
for another Diamondback fix.
