This is one of my favorite
carousels, primarily because they take such good care of the horses.
It seems most parks just have a carousel but really don't take care
of the work of art that they have.
As you can see by the crest
on the side of the horse here that this carousel was made by the famous
Philadelphia Toboggan Company, otherwise known as PTC.
I love the really old carousels
because the horses almost feel alive. I don't think any steel,
plastic or fiberglass horse can bring a carousel to life.
One last parting shot of the
Carousel and it's wonderful house. Every park should have one
of these.
Face-Off sits in the Paramount
Action Zone of the park. It's your standard Vekoma Invertigo coaster
which is basically a boomerang inverted.
