In the Giant Wheel you can get a great look at Kentucky Kingdom.
Looking around from the Giant Wheel you get a nice view of the large
chunk of Kentucky Kingdom that was once filled with rides and I'm
certain is being thought about for future expansion. This is where
the painfully horrible T2/T3 Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster used to
sit. Thankfully it was removed from Kentucky Kingdom and is now
abusing people at a park in Bangalore, India. Behind the footers
left over from T2 is the old Batman Stunt Show building.
From the water park to Wind Chaser there is a stretch of land that is
filled with ride remains and disused walkways. It'll be cool
seeing what Herschend Family Entertainment has store for this unused
part of the park once they further grow Kentucky Kingdom.
After spending a bunch of the day in the back of the park it was time to
head to spend some time on Lightning Run.
Just like Wind Chaser this is a coaster that I completely fell in love
with last year.
Lightning Run is a really simple coaster to describe...
