Woodland Run is an aggressive ride with tons that thrill seekers
would love but it also manages to not be too intense for a family
oriented park like Kentucky Kingdom.
The thrills are unrelenting but half the train doesn't get off
shell-shocked like the riders on a coaster like Velocicoaster at
Universal's Islands of Adventure do.
Woodland Run is just wickedly fun. Honestly, the only thing I'd
change other than putting Gravity Groups track all over it would be to
make it easier to ride. Woodland Run was designed for two train
operation, there were even footers poured for a transfer track for the
second train. Unfortunately, Ed Heart decided to put a building up
where the transfer track was to go and one train operations is all this
coaster has had since then. With Kentucky Kingdom on the right
track under the leadership of Herschend attendance is just going to grow
and a second train will be needed. Hopefully it happens sooner
than later so I can easily get as many rides on Woodland Run as
possible.
The looks on all of the riders faces tells how much fun Woodland Run is.
Woodland Run has hair, and riders flying through the air with nothing
but huge smiles on their faces showing how good it really is. It
was definitely good to come back to Kentucky Kingdom for more Woodland
Run.
