The buildings in Discovery Meadow date back to when Ed heart first
expanded Kentucky Kingdom across the road beyond the parks initial
thirteen acres.
Herschend has taken that canvas and added their own touches to the
existing structures to give all of them more of a woodland feel for
Discovery Meadow.
The Treetop Drop originally began its life in the front of the park as
Fear Fall before being one of the many rides moved back to Discovery
Meadow to add to that area as well as to make space in preparation for
whatever is coming for 2026.
Drop rides like Treetop Drop are wonderfully thrilling as soon as the
car hits the top of the hundred and twenty-nine foot tower the car
plummets. With no notice or time at the top you don't know when to
prepare for the drop. No matter what it'll get you.
One thing that I have always liked about Herschend is they get the big
things that are needed for their parks, but they also get the little
things that can be added to enhance the experience like these wind
chimes. Discovery Meadow has a nice relaxed vibe to it and I
really look forward to seeing what they are going to do with the rest of
Kentucky Kingdom.
