The Pittsburgh Plunge at Kennywood Park, West Mifflin, PA

Lost Kennywood was added to what once was Kennywood's parking lot as a homage to classic parks from the early 1900's.  Many of those parks had a Shoot the Chutes ride that splashed down into the parks central lagoon.  Kennywood smartly added a modern version of those classic rides as the centerpiece of Lost Kennywood.

As with all Shoot the Chutes rides, the Pittsburgh Plunge takes a large boat of park guests up before sending them plunging down into a large body of water creating a massive wave that soaks everything and everyone near it.

As you can see Bond and Travis got thoroughly soaked on the Pittsburgh Plunge.

As with most rides of this kind you get the wettest not on the ride, but by standing near the splashdown.
