I love a good flyers ride like those at Knoebels or the one that used
to be at Kings' Island. Aviators like this one are supposed to be
like the traditional flyers but give more of a thrill as you're higher in
the sky. Whenever I've been at a park with one of these the line has
always been insane so I passed. Well I finally got to try this one
at the Kemah Boardwalk and well it was fun but it's no flyer. It's
nice to go up, especially with the wonderful visual of being on the edge
of the bay but there's no up and down action like you get on flyers.
The later it got the less time we had to grab a few more rides on the Boardwalk
Bullet as we had hoped to get on the road before rush hour in order to get
up to Arlington for an evening at Six Flags Over Texas.
So eventually we hit the store and bought some cool Boardwalk Bullet stuff
and then grabbed just one last ride. Even with it's quirks the more
that I think about it I really love this coaster. Since this summer
Hades has been seated on my list of coasters at #2 but when working up my
list this fall I asked myself which would I prefer the Boardwalk Bullet
or Hades? Well to answer your question here's one final photo of my
#2 ranked wooden coaster from our parking spot right before we hit the road
and headed north.
If you get the chance to visit the Kemah Boardwalk and the Bullet, even
for a couple of hours do it. You won't be disappointed.
