Taking a peek over the fence you can see parts from the old King Chaos
ride that ran at Six Flags Great America...
...and the flywheel launch from the Schwarzkopf shuttle loop that also
ran at Aztlan Parque Urbano. I'd love to see Indiana Beach get
that coaster up and running. If it were up to me I'd keep it blue
and name it Tidal Wave after the old Schwarzkopf shuttle loop that once
ran at Six Flags Great
America.
After our rides on the Triple Loop we were off to tackle a ride
that is as quirky as Indiana Beach.
Steel Hawg is a "El Loco" coaster from S&S. About the easiest way
to describe this coaster is to call it a wild mouse coaster on crack.
The first drop is beyond vertical. It turns you upside down and
leaves you there. The finale is a downward inline twist before
hitting a high banked turn before a ricked pop of airtime as you hit the
brakes. These are great rides for parks with space issues like
Indiana Beach.
There were two new coasters for Bond and I on this trip and after adding
another Schwarzkopf to our count we headed over to the lake to take the
Cyclone for a spin.
