Starting from the tip of the peninsula that Indiana Beach is built on
let's work our way down to the far end of the park.
For those who don't want to walk the Spackman Express, named after the
parks founder, can take guests from one end of Indiana Beach to the
other.
The last time I visited Indiana Beach the then owners Morgan RV
committed a horrible crime by moving the parks Yo-Yo swing ride from
this spot only to replace it with a trampoline. Thankfully the
Yo-Yo was moved back onto the platform so it could swing over the lake but unfortunately it was not up and running during
my visit.
Indiana Beach has always reminded me of some of the scenarios in the old
Roller Coaster Tycoon game where you have such little space to build on
you have to build rides over rides, over rides. Indiana Beach's
Ferris Wheel is built over one of the parks train stations, a dink
stand, and one of the parks old mini golf courses.
Looking the other way down Indiana Beach's midway there is just so much
squeezed into this little plot of land in the middle of Lake Schafer.
