You can either take the Sky Ride as a one way trip or hop back in line
for a round trip back to where you started.
Back to the north end of the park Indiana Beach's Double Shot gives
plenty of airtime as you get shot up and then as soon as you reach the
top of the tower another blast sends your seat rocketing down while the
rest of you hangs there for a millisecond.
Indiana Beach used to be wide open so anyone staying at the parks
cabins and hotel pretty much had the run of the property after the park
closed. Fencing the park in is definitely a new addition since my
last visit. With a world where security and safety are issues it
makes sense for Indiana Beach to want to control who has access to their
property.
For those of you who are fans of Falling Star rides the one Indiana
Beach has is by far the best. The reason is if you are by yourself
it is no big deal. Just have a seat to yourself and slide back and forth all you
want.
In 2020, shortly after Gene Staples purchased Indiana Beach he sent
shock waves throughout the coaster world when it was announced that the
classic Anton Schwarzkopf built and Werner Stengel designed Drier
Looping was going to be leaving Mexico for a home among the
cornfields of Indiana.
