Indiana Beach has a huge amount
of rides, shops, attractions and restaurants all squeezed into about
a third of the land then that a comparable sized park.
The Hoosier Hurricane, which
was the parks third rollercoaster was added to Indiana Beach in 1994
was the park's first major coaster.
The Hoosier Hurricane has a
nice first drop that has one of the most beautiful views of any coaster
out there. To one side of you is the lake and to the other side
is the sliver of land that is Indiana Beach and off in the distance
is the green shoreline of Lake Shafer.
The Hoosier Hurricane is an
out and back coaster that is tightly packed over land as well as the
lake. It's not an intense or negative g force filled coaster
but it's location makes it a pure joy for anyone to ride.
