There is still nothing happening with the old Pilgrims Plunge
site. Hopefully some day this is turned back into some sort of a
water slide/shoot the chutes ride as it takes up a huge chunk of real
estate and there needs to be more to do down in Thanksgiving.
Speaking of things to do in Thanksgiving the Turkey Whirl cars are all
ready to be placed back on the ride after a nice winter slumber.
A big change for The Alamo restaurant is that the tiny ordering windows
are gone and guests will now walk inside to order. From what
Stephen said it will be more like a Qdoba where you can have a custom
burrito made.
While the cars for Firecracker are being painted and restored the
platform is coming together over where the Thunder Bumpers and carousel
originally sat.
Not only is this old ride being restored and recycled the name is as
well. The Firecracker was Holiday World's second roller coaster
(the first was a small Alan Herschell Little Dipper). It was a
Pinfari Zyclon coaster and it sat inside of the Freedom Train's route
where Holidog's Fun Town is now. That Firecracker ran at Holiday
World from 1981 until 1997 when it was sold.
