Despite being a Mack produced Calypso ride instead of a
Schwarzkopf I am still extremely excited for this addition to Holiday
World because it is going to be a great ride. Plus I love it when
any park keeps and restores a classic ride.

There are parts to Firecracker staged all around the area as they
prepare it for its new home.

Speaking of a classic and restoration the Freedom Train is now more.
The train which was Holiday Worlds last remaining original ride and
built by the Koch family has seen the end of service.

While it may not chug around Holidog's Fun Town past Humpty Dumpty, Jack
and Jill or Old Mother Hubbard anymore (a new train does that job now)
the old engine is going to be placed on display in front of the Liberty
Bell Shop as a reminder of the parks humble beginnings.
That is all of our winter tour of Holiday World. A huge thank you
to Paula and Stephen for letting us back into the park to geek out.
Both of us really look forward to getting back here this
summer...although Bond is only half excited to visit the park and more
excited to visit someone else. Ugh, my boy is growing up.
That's how it goes.
