Holiday World, Santa Claus, Indiana

Part of me really appreciates the fact that the play structure is accessible for special needs children.  Then there is the parent in me that knows that children aged 2-teenager are like little nuclear reactors with unending energy that is best burned off running and climbing and the old Holidog's FunTown was a massive super fun overload of amazing things to do.

The thing that Bond really loved that is still in Holidog's FunTown is the interactive fountain that sits right there in the middle of the area.  He would run himself into the ground getting wet and dancing around just like the water that shoots up all around you.

Despite being torn about what Holidog's FunTown has turned into the Teacups was a good addition because it is a ride where someone like Jacob can burn off a little bit of his unending energy spinning it around and around.

This is a change that happened a long time ago but I am still a bit sad that the water that used to dance from fountain to fountain was always a favorite because it reminded me of the dancing fountain that was at EPCOT outside of the Imagination Pavilion.  My guess is more than a few adults got annoyed at this while walking past getting sprayed by kids jumping up into the streams.  If I had to bet I would guess that is the reason the fountain was removed and transformed into a planter.

One little change I am thrilled about is that the Carousel was moved over to where the Midnight Ride used to be and the carousel house is no longer painted in garish colors that looked horribly ugly.  This looks worlds better now.
