Here is one last shot from our behind the scenes tour before going back
to
take in Thunderbird as much as possible before the day was to come
to an end.
Launch after launch Thunderbird does not get old.
While I prefer the back seat you must take at least one front seat ride.
Just before you launch a blast of mist obstructs your view and for the first
half of a second as you shoot out of the station you can't see.
Taking your vision away from you is enough to make the launch just a little
more unsettling.
Even though you know what is going to happen not being able to see really
was a bit of a shock and took my breath away.
