Of course designing a great ride is part engineering and part psychology.



You have to play with the riders fears, phobias, senses to get a reaction out of them.



Sometimes a designer has to be like a magician with some slight of hand getting you to look one way while the simple secret to how he does the trick is elsewhere.



With that those at Bolliger and Mabillard as well as Will Koch created a great coaster.  I know Holiday World is a family park but the appropriate thing to say about Thunderbird is that it is a kick ass ride.



Bond and I pretty much spent most of the afternoon just camped out on Thunderbird.  If no one was in the row for our seat we stayed on.  If we had to get off there was always an empty pair of seats for us to fill.
