Knowing the longest line of our visit to Holiday World & Splashin'
Safari was going to be the one for breakfast Bond and I had our leftovers
from our stop at one of our favorite restaurants in Southern Indiana;
Charlie's Mongolian Barbeque so that we could have some more time
in the water.
As you can see, pretty much everyone was in line for the food when we hit
the water. Bahari was one of Bond and my favorites in Splashin'
Safari and has kind of spoiled us. You see when we went to try out
the wave pool at Six Flags St. Louis the waves were about a foot tall and
we were used to the 3-4 foot tall waves at Holiday World and after about
ten minutes of hoping for "real" waves at Six Flags Bond asked
to go elsewhere because it was "boring".
While enjoying some good waves in Bahari I kept my eyes on the top of Pilgrims
Plunge that I could barely see over the tree line. After a few cycles
of waves I saw a boat rise to the top of Pilgrims Plunge as they tested
it.
So Bond and I got out of the water along with Corey and headed to see if
it was open. We ran into Mike along the way and he joined us.
We ran into Paula Werne who was hanging out at the gate that leads to Pilgrims
Plunge from Splashin' Safari with Natalie who is Splashin' Safari's
director. We explained that the Plunge was testing and right then
came over their radios "It's ready" so the four of us were
off to get our first Pilgrims Plunge rides.
