Is spaghetti normally served
at Thanksgiving dinner because The Voyage's turnaround serves it up
with this tangle of track.
It's hard to describe the power
of The Voyage and how just completely overwhelming the turnaround is.
The two back to back ninety degree banked turns are fantastic but there's
a bit called a reverse banked turn that's just wrong, in a good way
that is. It's a turn but unlike any other turn that I have experienced
not only do you get the lateral forces from going around the turn but
it also has some wicked airtime at the same moment. I guess the
easiest way to describe it is if you took a regular hill and laid it
on it's side.
If the Mayflower was as blindingly
fast as The Voyage they'd have made it to the new world in no time.
After going through the safety brake
and getting about the only half-a-second of reflection on the ride you
plunge on down into the triple down tunnel that will leave you grinning
if you already aren't. From there The Voyage just keeps getting
faster and faster as it plunges down the hundred foot vertical between
the safety brake and the valley below.
