I spent a lot of my fifty-five rides that day thinking of how to describe The Voyage to you and the best way was to compare it to the Bobs at Riverview Park.



I grew up in the Chicago area unfortunately many years after Riverview closed its doors.  I heard relative after relative talk about how the loved the park  and had so much fun there but whenever the conversation came to the Bobs everything changed.



The Bobs were spoken of in a soft and reverent toner of voice because it was just that intense and good.



To them and those who had experienced that coaster it was the be all and end all of coasters.  It was like there were all of the other coasters and then there was the Bobs.  To me the truly insane and relentless speed, power, action and airtime of The Voyage makes me think that way.  In years to come people are going to talk about it in the same way that my relatives spoke about the Bobs.  There were all of the other coasters and then there was The Voyage.
