I was a little curious as to
why there are extra footers on the outside of this turn. Turns
out it is going to be for a little more lateral support structure which
will be needed because this is pretty much the bottom of a huge hill
that The Voyage will snake down on its run back to the station.
"That's not right"
was what I exclaimed when coming into view of one of The Voyage's ninety
degree banked turns.
That is going to be insane
flying through that plus you'll be covered up in structure from the
first drop to make it that more thrilling. Just imagine supports
whizzing by all around you and the ground off to your right rather than
where you're used to which is beneath you.
Here is one of the two "break
rooms" that we spotted around The Voyage. Personally that'd
be a great spot for a little campsite with a fire but it'd probably
get a little noisy once The Voyage opens next May.
