If spinning around a couple of hundred feet above the Golf sounds
a little extreme then walk on past it and give the Galaxy Wheel a try.
It was nice to sit with Bond and tell him of some of my exploits
visiting Galveston Island when I lived on the west side of Houston in
the late 1980's. Galveston was a regular stop summer and even
winter for days of fun or dates. I had a lot of fun here and it is
one of those places that I wish wasn't such a long drive from home.
As you can see from on top of the Galaxy Wheel we had a bit of a stormy
day for our visit with lots of wind and lots of waves.
You can get a fantastic view of Iron Shark from the Galaxy Wheel.
Bond and I loved the Iron Shark but these simple rocking chairs are one
of the nest attractions at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier.
