It was nice to sit with Bond and tell him of some of my exploits visiting Galveston Island when I lived on the west side of Houston in the late 1980's.  Galveston was a regular stop summer and even winter for days of fun or dates.  I had a lot of fun here and it is one of those places that I wish wasn't such a long drive from home.

As you can see from on top of the Galaxy Wheel we had a bit of a stormy day for our visit with lots of wind and lots of waves.

You can get a fantastic view of Iron Shark from the Galaxy Wheel.

Bond and I loved the Iron Shark but these simple rocking chairs are one of the nest attractions at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier.
