Thunderhawk began its life in 1924when it was simply known as "The Coaster".  It was a simple out and back design that took you out and then turned around and brought you back.

In 1930 Dorney Park brought PTC back to make The Coaster more thrilling so a figure eight turnaround was added resulting in the layout that gives a great ride eighty-five years later.

I have to say that Thunderhawk really surprised me.

For some reason throughout the years of watching coaster videos on VHS, DVD and the internet somehow I never watched a POV video of Thunderhawk so I had no clue what was ahead of me.

Thunderhawk's airtime on the way out was fun but the turn to the left, dip, turn to the right dip and then spiral back around the structure to the return run was a blast.
