On day three of our four day coaster trip found me and the boys at the
best park in Tennessee
: Dollywood.

Bond and I were really excited to get back to Dollywood as it is one of
the best theme parks in the world. Travis was excited to visit
Dollywood as this is his first ever visit.

Everywhere we looked at Dollywood the signs pointed us to locations we
so desperately wanted to visit. If we went to the right there was
adventure and to the left there was thrills. No matter which way
you turn you are in for a good time at Dollywood.

First stop of the day as we looped Dollywood was Thunderhead.

Thunderhead; which opened in 2004 was the start of of a massive
multi-decade project to connect the back of Dollywood's Craftsmen's
Valley to the front of the park to make a loop. Thunderhead is the
main attraction of Dollywood's Timber Canyon section of the park.
A few years later in 2007 Mystery Mine was added expanding Timber Canyon
a little further towards Craftsmen's Valley. After moving a
considerable amount of dirt the loop was completed in 2008 with the
addition of the Wilderness Pass section of the park. Instead of
having Thunderhead and the Tennessee Tornado at dead ends you can now
easily get between the two rides without having to trek all the way down
into the bottom of the valley and then back up the hill.
