Thunderhead's flyby is about the only straight section of track on its three thousand two hundred and thirty feet of track.



On our last visit to Dollywood back in 2017 Thunderhead really wasn't running well.  In fact, it was so rough it was a "one and done" coaster for us.



Thankfully in the intervening years Dollywood has given Thunderhead some serious TLC and has restored this coaster to the world class coaster that it is.  About the only thing that kept us from just riding Thunderhead over and over was that the rest of the rides at Dollywood are so good.



With Travis needing all of the coasters at Dollywood to add to his coaster count the next stop for him was Dollywood's Whistle Punk Chaser coaster.  Whistle Punk Chaser is a family coaster model from Zamperla.  These mass produced family coasters are a lot of fun and it is no surprise that Zamperla have sold over fifty of them to parks across the planet.
