I know a little bit of my verbiage here might seem a bit frightening but it is not being used in a negative way.  I love letting control go and getting aggressively thrown around on a ride.  Lightning Rod is a violently aggressive coaster and that is totally my cup of tea.



These fractions of a second frozen in time really don't do this ride justice as fast and powerful as this coaster is.



Lightning Rod has no dead time, there is no wasted track.  It is bluntly a balls to the wall, badass, world class coaster.



By the time Lightning Rod's brake fins slid through the magnetic brakes taking the rides momentum away you could hear gasps from other riders like they were coming up for air because this coaster took their breaths away.  It's that powerful an experience. 

The thought that went through my head after that first ride in the back seat was "I think I might have a new number 1 coaster here".



Bond was pretty sure he had another number one as well and it was a highlight for him as Lightning Rod was his 350th coaster.
