I wish we had a lot more time at Coney Island as being a amusement
park and coaster history buff I could have spent hours soaking up all of
the information and photos in the Coney island History Project.

The museum is built right into the Cyclone so as you're reading about the
ride it's rumbling around over you.

Not only are Coney Island's park covered but they also get into how the
neighborhood used to be the center of manufacturing of rides as well like
		this Mangels Kiddie Whip car.

Here's Corey with one of the few remaining steeplechase horses from Steeplechase
park.  The Steeplechase was actually a coaster and this was one of
the cars that you mounted and sped around it's course.

you know, I had been waiting since my childhood for Coney Island and it
didn't disappoint.  It went well beyond my expectations and I wish
it were closer so I could go back again and again.  If you can get
to Coney Island.  Ride the Cyclone, ride the Wonder Wheel.  Take
a walk down the boardwalk and feel the waves around your knees.  Feel
the salt air blow through your hair and let the scents of the food waft
through your nose and get your salivary glands going.  Coney Island
is an experience, and an experience that everyone should have.

		Viva La Coney Island!

The next stop on the -G 2009 Coaster Trip:

Lake Compounce.
