Chippewa Lake Park
Chippewa Lake, Ohio

It is believed that this building
once was a dark ride but it's a little hard to verify now that it's
collapsed on itself.
The Ferris Wheel was situated
so it would look out over Chippewa Lake. The only way you can
get that view is by climbing the tree that now resides in the wheel.
Note the freshly painted fire hydrant. It looks like they cleared
all the shrubbery around all of the hydrants and repainted them after
the recent ballroom fire in the park.
It's a new species of trees...Ferris-wheelus.
This Ferris Wheel is an older
model that used a cable to spin the wheel rather than tires like most
wheels today. Shane said that he read that this was known as the
fastest Ferris Wheel in existence which means I would definitely not
ride it! I like the bigger wheels but the rocking on the little
ones makes me a little queasy.
