While initially I really didn't get Cedar Point, a massive park that is
always packed, adding a low capacity coaster like the Wild Mouse the
ride just feels right where it is and adds to the nostalgia and pays
homage to the parks storied past.
As for the ride itself it is a pretty fun little spinner.
When I rode I ended up getting grouped with a mother with her two small
children. With me and the mom on one side and two little kids on
the other side we had quite a spin. Spinning coasters are
always fun although the worst part is always the brake run at the end of
the ride where you just spin. That's the part that always gets me
a little queasy.
As we are talking about the Boardwalk I do have to mention how awesome
it is that Cedar Point has really decided to highlight the feature that
started the whole park back in 1870, which is the Cedar Point Beach.
Back then people were ferried out to Cedar Point for a day on the
beach. Afterwards hotels, restaurants, carousel and roller
coasters popped up on Cedar Point. Without the beach none of this
would be here and I like it how now you can go spend a day on the beach
without entering the park. You just need to pay for parking and
the beach is all free.
