Another thing that Cedar Point/Cedar Fair does well is adding events to their parks to make certain times of the year a little more special and throw a little variety into the mix.

Cedar Point was having the "Frontier Festival" during my visit. It consisted of musicians, specialty food, craft vendors, and a little more sprucing up Frontier Town.

The Frontier Festival was a nice event and they really went all out making it a special event.

The Steel Vengance Rollercoaster at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio

As a fan of aggressive coasters and not a fan of the original Mean Streak I was looking forward to seeing what Rocky Mountain Construction could do when they created Steel Vengeance.

Steel Vengeance began its life back in 1991 when Cedar Point had reached out to designer Curtis Summers and builder Charlie Dinn to build one of the largest wooden coasters in the world. That coaster was Mean Streak.
