The Gemini Rollercoaster at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio

One of these years I need to get Bond back to Cedar Point as I have been wanting to hand slap with him while riding Gemini.  The first time I visited Cedar Point they only had one side of Gemini running.  The last time we visited together they had both sides running and I was just about to hand slap him as we headed up the lift hill when the "Paul Schroeder Curse" kicked in and the side that Bond and Paul Schroeder were riding on broke down.

If you don't know Paul has something about him that causes rides and even entire amusement parks to break down when he visits them.  During that visit Paul called to let us know that he had just cleared the border and was on his way to Cedar Point when Power Tower, Top Thrill Dragster, Mantis, and Iron Dragon all shut down in unison.  Someone needs to study his powers.  ;-)

Gemini is a a big figure eight layout with high points on the ends and lots of hills in between.

This hill in particular sends you flying and gives a nice head chopper as it dives under Gemini's lift hill.

While Gemini races it would be nice if Cedar Point had the rides computers worked on to ensure that the trains crest the top of the lift at the same time so there is more of a race throughout each tracks 3,935 feet.

After speeding through yet another awkward Arrow Dynamics helix Gemini speeds into the brake run and into the rides dual loading station.  Gemini may not be the big or new kid on the block at Cedar Point but it sure is a lot of fun.
