The Cedar Creek Mine Ride Rollercoaster at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio

The classic Cedar Creek Mine Ride is our next stop on our trip around Cedar Point.

The Cedar Creek Mine Ridei Rollercoaster at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio

The Cedar Creek Mine Ride opened in 1969 and was designed and built by Arrow Dynamics.

This was Arrow Dynamics third mine train coaster. There was the original Runaway Mine Train that opened at Six Flags Over Texas in 1966. The second that opened in 1967 is the Dahlonega Mine Train at Six Flags Over Georgia. Then Cedar Point added this in 1969.

Much of the Cedar Creek Mine Ride is built over water which adds a bit of fun to the ride.

These early Mine Train designs of Arrow are kind of interesting as they want to make a thrilling ride, just not too thrilling.
