Another must ride attraction for me at Cedar Point is the Cedar Downs racing carousel.

How does a carousel race? In addition to going up and down the horses move forwards and backwards while circling at a pretty high speed. The winner in each row is the one whose horse is ahead of everyone else.

Greg ended up beating my but we'll have to have a rematch next year at Coaster Mania.

Cedar Downs was originally at Euclid Beach Park and they used to give a free ride to those in each row who won the race. There is only one other racing carousel left in existence that were created by the legendary coaster designers Prior & Church so I'm thrilled to see as much care as Cedar Point puts into this one.
