The Cass County Dentzel Carousel
Logansport, Indiana

I first heard about the Cass County Dentzel Carousel in Logansport,
Indiana about a decade ago as it's one of a handful of very rare (and fun)
ring machine carousels in the United States. In July of 2011 Bond
and I headed to
Indiana Beach for a two day visit and we decided to work in a drive
half an hour east of of the park for a spin on this classic.
The Cass County Dentzel Carousel has several horses that date back to 1885
while the carousel itself dates back to 1902 when it opened in Robison Park
in Fort Wayne before moving to Logansport in 1919.
As you can see that not only us amusement park geeks appreciate a classic
ride like the Cass County Carousel as it's been declared a National Historic
Landmark as well.
Keeping this classic treasure so that it'll still be entertaining riders
of all ages for another hundred years and beyond the Cass County Carousel
is located in a climate controlled carousel house in Logansport's Riverside
Park.
