The National Amusement Devices designed Big Dipper Rollercoaster at Camden Park, Huntington West Virginia

Speeding through the Big Dipper's structure you have a wonderful mix of airtime and head chopper effects from the structure whizzing by overhead.

A little pop of air here and then the feel of gravity pulling you down as the Big Dipper bounces along the track.

One more pop of airtime..

...and your ride on the Big Dipper is over.

What did I think of the Big Dipper?  Loved it.  Yes it is rickety and could use some new wood, and a ton of paint but the ride is wonderfully fun and has a lot of charm.

What is a little confusing about Camden Park is there are new rides like the parks newest coaster the Slingshot so there is investment in the park but you've got old rides like the Big Dipper that need a lot of tender loving care.

By the way I did ride the Slingshot which was the fourth SBF Group designed Compact Spinning Coaster that I have been on and second of the trip after riding the one at Central Park Funland.
