For such a small park Camden really has a nice collection of
classic and modern rides like this Paratrooper.
There are also games where one can win a giant stuffed Spongebob
Squarepants to round out that classic park experience.
One of the newer rides at Camden Park is the Flying Scooters.
While the Flying Scooters may be one of the later chapters in Camden
Park's history there is a tree covered hill behind this ride that has
quite a bit of pre-history buried in it. On the other side of the
Flying Scooters is a burial mound built by the Adena culture somewhere
between 1000 and 200 BC. Unfortunately most of their burial mounds
were destroyed or excavated while Camden's mound is one of the few
unexcavated ones. While not a huge thrilling attraction I like
that Camden pays it some respect by noting it on the parks map.
In the back of Camden Park is the Log Flume This was the big
addition for Camden Park's 80th anniversary.
