The Cheetah Hunt roller coaster at Busch Gardens, Tampa, Florida

Cheetah Hunt is my second favorite coaster that was inspired by the speeder bike chase through the forests of Endor from Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi. The first coaster that was inspired by that scene was of course The Voyage at Holiday World.

Cheetah Chase's Star Wars inspiration came to Busch Gardens Vice President of Design and Engineering Mark Rose. He and his staff took seven years working on the design.

Instead of speeding through the forests filled with Ewoks and Imperial Stormtroopers, Cheetah Chase sends you along the edge of Busch Gardens Serengeti plain and through the edge of Africa as a
Cheetah on the attack.

Cheetah Hunt has bursts of speed, airtime and a few perfect pauses where you can enjoy the amazing surroundings all while flying across Busch Gardens before turning around.
