In science you of course classify species by their kingdom, family, class, order, family, genus and species to be able to properly describe the creature in relation to all of the other living species on this planet.

You can do the same in the coaster world. While Cheetah Hunt might have a loop in it you really can't classify it as a looping coaster because the primary experience that the ride provides is has nothing to do with inverting guests.

Cheetah Hunt just like the species it is named for is all about speed so it should properly be classified as a launched coasters.

Speaking of launches as Cheetah Hunt reaches the far edges of the park it turns around and enters the rides third batch of linear synchronous motors that give it a boost up to forty miles an hour for the long run back to the station.
