It was a little chilly out there on the mountain early this November morning.  There is Bond all wrapped up against the cold.



Our early morning ride time on the Runaway Mountain Coaster was a little additional event added to the annual American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Christmas at Silver Dollar City the day before.  As with every coaster event that I have been to you are always surrounded with friends and if you don't know someone you soon will.  Here is Mr. Rob "Robnoxious" Derman after a run down the mountain and...



...Rayne Ethetton...



...and a fellow coaster enthusiast who just happened to have a mascot suit in his car which he used as added insulation against the cold air.



Ok geek photo here.  The Runaway Mountain Coaster has the brakes on the sleds and as an added safety feature there are magnetic brakes at the end of the ride.



Once you are done with your sled they just loop back around for the next waiting rider.



We had a fantastic time riding the Runaway Mountain Coaster at the Branson Mountain Adventure Park.

The mountain coaster is just the start for the park as they would like to add other experiences to the mountain.  One of the things that is coming in the future is the addition of lights for the Mountain Coaster.  In the daytime the Runaway Mountain Coaster is fun but throw in darkness and lights and that adds more thrill to the experience.  We are looking forward to coming back.
