The Monster a new for 2016 Gerstlauer Infinity roller coaster at Adventureland Amusement Park, Altoona, Iowa

Similar to the Euro Fighter designs like Spongebob's Rock Bottom Plunge at Nickelodeon Universe, Iron Shark at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, Dare Devil Dive at Six Flags Over Georgia or Mystery Mine at Dollywood the lift for The Monster is completely vertical.

Looking at all of the engineering specs and technical stuff an Infinity Coaster is basically a Euro Fighter version 2.0.  It has redesigned trains to be able to hander tighter turns, it has higher capacity and restraint wise it is significantly more open while keeping the rider secure.

Forget all of the technical mumbo jumbo though and just take a look at the expressions on the faces of these riders as the train begins the rides 133 foot beyond vertical first drop.

The first drop is eleven degrees beyond vertical and as you can see by all of the hair flying up The Monster doesn't waste any time getting started.
