Boulder Dash's return run parallels the walkway back to Lake Compounce's
Sky Ride and Rapids Ride. It is a nice walk and you can get a great
look at the ride from there.
As Boulder Dash works down the mountain side it never shows down and never
stops throwing you up and down, left and right and sending you speeding
all the way until you slam into the brakes back at the station.
What is fun is that after each hill you are just sure that you have finally
come to the end of Boulder Dash but it seems that there is always one more
hill and one more drop to go.
I think Boulder Dash's last couple of drops are actually the deepest of
the ride.
At the bottom of the drop is Boulder Dash's on ride camera set up and as
you can see there are plenty of people hamming it up for the cameras.
Boulder Dash is currently my #3 ranked wooden coaster behind Outlaw Run
and The Voyage and it was amazing to get to take Bond to it, put him in
the back right seat and see the look of amazement on his face as we finally
got back into the station. Bond was blown away and as a grizzled old
coaster enthusiast with well over 250 credits that is saying something.
