There is something about the sound of a carousel's band organ, the
distant screams from a coaster and the laughter of riders of all ages that
just completes a visit to a great amusement park like Lake Compounce.
While I love the parks and I love the rides having Bond with me makes it
all better.
You can just plop rides down anywhere and have a park but you have a great
park when you take the time and have enough pride to dress up what you have
like Lake Compounce did here with their Pirate ride.
I really love Pirate Ship rides like this one. It is great just sitting
in the back where you get some nice negative-g's as you reach the apex of
the swing. Plus I love the concept of taking something as simple as
the motion for a backyard swing and turning that into a really fun ride
that is not just for the kids.
I wish I could take the Enterprise for a ride because the few that I rode
when I was a kid were fun. They were fun up until the point where
I glanced half a degree from the rides line of motion and motion sickness
landed on my like a ton of bricks.
