Of course with any log flume there's a splashdown at the bottom of the big drop.

Being a wet ride Brian, otherwise known as "Waterboy" was right in his natural element .

I loved the Stanley River Falls so do not miss it when visiting Busch Gardens.  You get to float and bump around and at the end there's a nice (but not too big) splash to cool you off on a nice hot January Florida day.

Ok it is story time!

The big ride at Busch Gardens: The Dark Continent as it was known back in 1981 when I first visited was the Python coaster.  The Python was a production model "Corkscrew" coaster by Arrow Dynamics.  I had been on a corkscrew before at Old Chicago and hatred it.  Of course I was forced on it and I really wasn't ready for it at six years of age.  So flash forward to 1981 and as soon as I saw Python there was no way I'd ride it.  In fact there was no way I'd even get near it.  So my parents left me here at the awesomely named U-Banga Banga Bumper Cars when they went off to get in the long line for Python.

Yeah I was nine and left alone but it was a different world back then.

Back to the story.  I rode this until they were out of sight then I bolted over to Scorpion; which I just rode and completely loved.  I ended up getting about ten laps all by myself before running back to ride U-Banga Banga before my parents got back from Python.  It was a little nine year old adventure and the memory has stuck with me crystal clear to this day.
