After winding your way through the queue finally you reach the
Zambezi Zinger Safari Base Camp where your journey will begin.
One of the things that I really like about Worlds of Fun over the last
few years is they have been actively working to bring back elements of
the parks past. Several years ago the Cotton Blossom BBQ opened
which pays homage to the Cotton Blossom paddlewheel boat that used to be
part of Worlds of Fun's Americana entrance. Other things that have
been brought back are the Floral Clock and removing theming elements
that didn't fit a given areas theme, such as the Coasters Diner that was
super 1950's "Happy Days" that really didn't fit in Africa.
Bringing back a reimagined ride falls right in line with what the parks
strategy of honoring the past while making Worlds of Fun bigger and
better.
Here we are.
My suitcase was packed and I was ready for a safari on the Zambezi
Zinger.
Worlds of Fun presented all of the attendees with these suitcases.
Each of them had a Coaster Dynamix Zambezi Zinger model car and a letter
stating that we were the first to ride. This is something that
they didn't have to do but it is another example of going above and
beyond.
Let's get down to the actual ride on Zambezi Zinger.
