There are Scare Zones and there are Haunts at Worlds of Fun.



A "scare zone" is just a section of the park that is filled with smoke, theming and monsters like this creature who jump out and terrify guests as they make their way around the park.



The sound of metal fingertips on a washboard can be used for a heck of a scare but the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" meets 1970's glam rocker is kind of a weird look.



Ghillie suit Troll was really good.  You certainly do not see him coming.



The first Haunt of the Night was Zombie High School.  Worlds of Fun must have raided a bunch of schools with plenty of desks, lockers and everything else to trick out the house.  Unfortunately it didn't seem like there were too many scare actors in there to mess with us.  Maybe it was because we were there on a Sunday night and they were short staffed.  I was kind of hoping for more from this one.
