With Worlds of Fun focusing on bringing theming back to the park it was
nice seeing themed signs for each of the themed areas.
I am thrilled to see little things like this all over the park because
these are the little touches that used to make the local theme park back
in the 1970's a special place where one left the real world behind.
In the years between then and now many chains have removed theming,
brought the real world into the parks (advertising for example) and lost
that magical feel. I am thrilled that Worlds of Fun gets that the
little things are what make the experiences that they provide unique.
More parks; even some of them from other chains, need to follow this
lead.
Working our way through Africa the guys had to take Zulu for a spin.
Zulu is an Enterprise ride built by Huss. It opened at Worlds of
Fun in 1979.
Hidden behind Zulu and the Worlds of Fun Railroad lurking deep in the
woods is Prowler.
Prowler is running well but I have to say that it is now my second
favorite wooden coaster at Worlds of Fun behind the reborn Timber Wolf.
