After Prowler let us down we needed a coaster that wouldn't.
Mamba has only one negative being a mid-course brake that robs some of
the airtime on its return run but the rest of it is filled with airtime
and head chopper fun. Thankfully it had two train operations from
the start of the day (something that from what we have heard has been a
rarity) so we were able to loop around and around ride Mamba over and
over again.
There are two "new" rides for 2017. Don't take the quotation marks
around new as a slur on these additions. Both of them are actually
used rides purchased in Europe a couple of years ago by Worlds of Fun's
parent company Cedar Fair. What Cedar Fair was looking for was
classic rides that could be purchased used, restored and then added to
their parks.
One of the two "new" rides that Worlds of Fun got is the Mustang Runner.
Mustang Runner is a classic Huss Troika type ride.
